Dr. Raje Anand is well known for her work in the ecosystem research as it relates to coastal ecosystems that includes coral reefs, seagrasses and mangroves. She did her doctoral research work on evolutionary biology. She was a consultant for Global Environmntal Facility (GEF) of United Nations Developmental program for the international waters. She is an expert on marine biodiversity and developed strategies for conservation of fragile coastal zones for the intergovernmental agencies. She was involved with the Third World Foundation on a project on women in sustainable development. At present she is interested in the projects integrating life supporting systems and sustainable society by addressing the issues on Ecology, Economy, Energy and Education. |
